If you take a quick peek at my Pinterest profile, you’ll see that I went from a single board vaguely titled “SPACE” to 7 different subcategories. I figured it’s the only way to keep this growing addiction under control. My love for interior design is definitely on the rise, especially now that I’m constantly surrounded by inspiring and creative home decor at work.

Sometimes I feel like my taste is all over the place, pinning any images that jump out at me. But, now as I scroll down through my collections, I can see a consistent pattern of what I’m mainly attracted to: warm wood floors contrasted with LOTS of clean white. Unique furniture, often with a mid-century modern touch. Interesting textures, dramatic area rugs… And natural light is clearly very important! I love a place to be cozy + comfortable, but still open and neutral with just the right amount of personality. I think the styled space above sums up this overall appeal.

How about you? Any recurring dreams about your ideal home?

  • I love how you incorporated all the different prints with white as a back splash. It all looks so clean , yet comfortable. I need to learn to use fabrics to my advantage. I just added a loft space to my home (I’ve always dreamed of having one) . I had Mono Stringer Stairs and since they are a accent piece in themselves I wanted to design it in a way that it wouldn’t be overbearing. I may use the photo of the bedroom as my inspiration, I love all the wood pieces against the white, you did a fantastic job.
